Wow. Big day today. Lots of events. Where should I start?

Well, today, the new semester started. I actually have more free time now. And I will start working on the blog a lot more. Today is also my 16th birthday. Hmmm…. Never mind about big stuff today. Maybe I forgot something? I think something big was coming, some sort of wow? I guess not.

Nah, I’ll say it. Vista. Today. Not excited at all. Good job Microsoft on making your new OS more secure, but more annoying. Good job making it look much better, but this has already been done. Good job on make the upgrade real easy with just one package to choose from, wait nevermind. Good job on going easy on the numbers, making the amount of money the Europeans have to pay not twice as much as us Americans, oh yeah, nevermind there too. Good job on selling it well and having people enjoy it, wait scratch that.

I’ve tried Vista, thankfully not on my computer, and I didn’t really enjoy it. Yes, it’s easier to use than XP, but let’s stop compating it to XP for a while. Let’s just compare with how easy an OS should be. Yes, it does have ease of use, but not completely. Annoying pop-ups asking you if you want to do this or that. Sure, this is really handy to beginners, who don’t know that it’s essential for a firewall to be present. But to those that are already equipped, this is sort of an annoyance. The looks aren’t that bad, with the black see through Aero. And the search is pretty nice. So it really matters how you look at it. Whether your a Mac addict or a Windows addict (wait… do those exist? Windows addicts? Cult of Windows?), an expert or a beginner, it’s just how comfortable you are with using it.

You probably noticed that the site was down for quite a while. That is because I was trying to upgrade to 2.1. Well, that didn’t turn out. =/ I’ll try again later. But I had to restore the site back, and sorry for all the wait I caused. I’m still learning how to manage my time with this blog and all, so please, stay with me here. I haven’t had contact with Sergey about the blog for a while. But he’s coming soon.

In other news, it’s my 16th birhtday tomorrow.
